LIMINAL ARCHITECTURE | affordable housing

Posted 17 June 2022

The Youth 2 Independence (Y2I) project marks a new approach to affordable housing models.

Construction began this month with the media and Minister Barnett paying a visit to the Campbell St, Hobart site this week.

LIMINAL Architecture’s design and approach will present Y2I as a place for social connection.

The development includes accommodation for youth at risk of homelessness and an urban community hub inclusive of residents and non-residents that provides education and real-life learning to support and build independence and employment skills.

The project is being delivered by the Tasmanian Government through Communities Tasmania.
