Liminal Graphics in partnership with marketing strategist Natalie Geard took out an Australian Marketing Institute Award for Marketing Excellence at the Tasmanian state awards last week.

The duo was recognised for their creative and innovative marketing campaign for the University of Tasmania's Unigym brand winning the Brand Revitalisation award for changing customer perceptions of the brand to create greater measurable brand value and deliver commercial gains.

The introduction of a fresh, vibrant and engaging brand combined with cheeky and creative concepts completely changed the face of the gym service provider turning it into a more attractive and appealing fitness solution.

In just one year, Unigym transformed itself into a hip and vibrant health and lifestyle offering bursting at its membership seams. Unigym recorded growth in every possible area and was seen with renewed enthusiasm and vigour by all across University life.

The AMI Marketing Excellence awards recognise extraordinary success from innovative and effective marketing practices. The pair now proceed as finalists in the 2011 AMI National Awards for Marketing Excellence on 19 October.
