Dust. LIMINAL Spaces with Dancenorth. Photography: Amber Haines
Every LIMINAL project is a collaboration. We empower people and communities to experience the process of creation through connection.
A LIMINAL process is one fuelled by curiosity, where ideas are formed, challenged and explored. A threshold exploring the potential of what can be, where rules are broken as we play with ideas, forms, methods and interpretations in the pursuit of the extraordinary.
Every project that comes to life is as unique as the people, place and ideas that come together to realise it. We play the role of imaginative enabler, consensus builder, community partner and trusted ally to multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
We know the best creative outcomes and solutions come from many minds, ideas, approaches and experiences.
We value collaborating with clients, artists, makers, architects, designers and writers who are curious, aspirational and playful. And we make sure we all have a damn good time while doing it.
Our curiosity has taken us across cultures, industries and artforms to collaborate with partners in Asia, Europe and with visual artists, makers, dancers, galleries, craftspeople, performers, lighting designers and community groups to create award-winning outcomes.
'It really is a beautiful collaboration, not just with the original custodians of this land, but with nature itself, because all of the materials that surround me right here inside these beautiful pods, are the very materials that are growing in the environment around us, yet it’s been skilfully crafted with just enough sophistication to not overpower the incredible view that sits before it'. - Jamie Durie, Australia By Design host speaking about the Coastal Pavilions at Freycinet Lodge.
