LIMINAL ARCHITECTURE | Hobart City Council gives unanimous support for cultural hub

Posted 15 April 2016

The green light outcome in response to the Development Application for the Creative Industries and Performing Arts Development is a welcomed milestone in the project’s progression. We’re delighted that it is being hailed as a ‘world class performing arts centre iconic for both the University and Hobart.’ Sentiments further supported by Alderman Jeff Briscoe’s comments, ‘This is probably one of the most important buildings that will go up in Hobart in the lifetime of this council.’

The successful embrace of the project is a tribute to the collaborative relationships the design team has had with the University and nominated user-groups, the Theatre Royal, State Government, Tasmanian Heritage Council, Hobart City Council, industry groups and community over the last two years.
